Director of Anoka Technical College’s Judicial Reporting/Broadcast Captioning program Jennifer Sati, RMR, CRR, CRC, CRI, has been named 2023 Educator of the Year named by the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA). This announcement was made at the 2023 NCRA Conference & Expo in Houston, Texas.
Sati has 30 years of experience in broadcast/CART captioning and has an accomplished career in the field. After freelancing for 15 years, the Dayton, Minn. resident accepted a position at Anoka Tech where she fell in love with educating students and watching them launch into their careers in the field. She has built the program from the ground up at Anoka Tech and is proud of the work she has accomplished within the program.
Throughout her time as an educator she continued to dive into opportunities such as serving on the Higher Learning Commission committee, developing the Minnesota Association of Verbatim Reporters and Captioners, serving on the NCRA Board of Directors, and more.
