Anoka Tech Foundation disburses more than $79,000 in scholarships during fall 2023 semester

The Anoka Technical College Foundation disbursed more than $79,000 in scholarships to students during the fall 2023 semester.

Anoka Technical College and the campus foundation are committed to making college affordable and accessible to students. In recognition of the support of the donors and partners that make these scholarships possible, below are the names of last year’s award recipients, including their scholarships received.

Medical Assistants can make a difference in people’s lives each day and play an essential role on a health care team. From 2020-2030, the demand for Medical Assistants is expected to grow by more than 16% in Minnesota, making it one of the fastest-growing health care careers. After completing the Medical Assistant program at Anoka Tech, graduates are eligible to take the Certification Exam of the American Association of Medical Assistants and immediately join an in-demand career. When Diana Sanchez moved to the US from Ecuador, she was looking for a college that would support her dream of becoming an Occupational Therapy Assistant. "Anoka [Tech] opened the doors for me and gave me all the opportunities and facilities that I needed. They made me feel welcome the first time that I came here and helped me on my career path." After getting started in the Health Technology program, Diana successfully completed the coursework and testing to start in the OTA program.
