Update to On-Campus Mask Requirements
In response to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Minnesota Department of Health, masks are no longer required to be worn on-campus at Anoka Tech.
As recommended by the CDC and MDH, those not fully vaccinated should continue to wear masks while on campus. As a reminder, fully vaccinated means two weeks following the second Pfizer or Moderna dose or two weeks after the single Johnson and Johnson dose.
Fully vaccinated individuals may also continue to wear masks, if they choose to do so. All other safety precautions remain in place on campus, including social distancing, case reporting, and quarantine guidelines.
At this time, Minnesotans age 12 and over are now eligible to receive a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination and the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccines are authorized for vaccination of people 18 years and older.
Student COVID-19 Testing
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is concerned that people ages 18 - 35 are driving the state’s community spread of COVID-19 to record highs, many of them with no symptoms and no way of knowing they are positive.

Student Services and Resources
Diseases can make anyone sick regardless of their race or ethnicity. People of Asian descent, including Chinese Americans, are not more likely to get COVID-19 than any other American. Help stop fear by letting people know that being of Asian descent does not increase the chance of getting or spreading COVID-19. Source CDC

In November 2020, the State of Minnesota announced a significant expansion in COVID-19 testing access, with the addition of more than a dozen new testing locations opening across the state. All testing will be free and available to anyone who wants to be tested whether they have symptoms or not and it will not require insurance.
Options for testing can be found via MDH's website, including nasal swab community testing events, saliva community testing sites, home tests, and a map of testing locations throughout the state.
