Anoka Technical College uses Desire2Learn (D2L), an instructional management system, to deliver your online courses. D2L contains all the course navigation tools you will need to successfully use your ATC online courses.

Desire2Learn is a web-based learning program designed to help students achieve their educational goals. It provides an e-learning environment that allows students to adapt with ease so students can focus on learning rather than the technology involved. Desire2Learn is a fully customizable Learning Management System. It provides the student with an alternative to the traditional classroom setting. D2L allows the student to take courses with the flexibility of being able to do so from anywhere with computer access.

There are three types of online courses which utilize Desire2Learn

  • Internet:  These courses are offered exclusively online.  An optional initial on-campus meeting may be scheduled.  Media Code 3.

  • Web-Enhanced:  These courses combine significant online work with a reduced number of classroom meetings.  Media Code 9.

  • Web-Supplemented:  These courses require regular classroom meetings. Supplemental materials are provided online.  Media Code 10.

How to use the Desire2Learn Helpdesk:

The Help Desk is open from 7:30am-11:30pm, 7 days per week excluding holidays

To contact MnSCU's D2L Helpdesk, you must use the "Ask a Question" tab.  To browse existing Desire2Learn FAQ's and to view answers to D2L questions asked by other users, click on the "Browse Questions" tab (this is also the view you see by default).  You can narrow your search by selecting options from the drop down menus and by entering text in the "Search Text" box.

If you cannot find the answer to your question by browsing then you can submit a question to the Desire2Learn Help Desk by clicking on the "Ask a Question" tab.

Be sure to fill in all areas and be specific with your question, the more detailed you are the faster we can answer your question.  When finished be sure to click the "Submit" button.  If this is the first time submitting a question you will have to create an account.  After submitting your question, you will receive a confirmation email.  We will respond to your question within 1 business day.

To review or update a question you have previously submitted, click on the "My Stuff" tab.
