Tips for working with the tutors
- Plan ahead. The schedule fills quickly, so schedule your appointment accordingly.
- The maximum time allowed per student is two hours each week. Exceptions by approval only. If the tutor feels you have accomplished your goals before your time is up, you will be asked to end your session so other students can be assisted.
- Be prepared. Have specific questions and problems ready to discuss. Be ready to ask for help in one main area per tutoring session.

What tutors do NOT do
Replace instructors
Your own instructors are the best source of guidance. Use the tutoring service along with - rather than in place of - faculty assistance.
Promise grades
Tutors do not teach or attend the classes you are studying for, so they cannot predict or promise your grade.
Do your homework for you
Tutors cannot teach you content because you were absent, edit work you leave for them, or help with assignments you have not yet begun.
