Counseling services provide students with support in defining and achieving their academic, career, and personal goals. Students are encouraged to meet with the Counselor to discuss and develop an individualized plan to promote personal and academic success.

Counseling is available to help students identify and overcome personal barriers to academic success. Such issues may include, but are not limited to stress, relationship problems, financial pressures, anxiety, and depression.
In addition, referrals to professional agencies, and resources to services in the community are provided when necessary.
Academic counseling offers students the opportunity to explore strengths and weaknesses associated with academic achievement. Students have the opportunity to sit down and discuss specific academic concerns, and gain feedback and suggestions on how to improve academic performance.

Choosing a program of study is crucial for succss in college. Students are assisted in making informed choices regarding their career path through exploration of personal skills, interests, personality, and values, and matching these characteristics with occupational and educational opportunities.
