Is there someone available to help me when I get stuck on an assignment?

Yes, there is a lab assistant and peer tutor available to assist students. Just come into the lab, and we will be happy to work with you.

Do you offer any courses through the CLL?

No, as of Fall Semester, 2009 all business and computer courses previously offered through the CLL are offered through 3 modes of instruction out of the CLL: traditional classroom, hybrid (or blended) class, or total online classes. See a schedule of classes by search in course offerings for ADSC and Comp courses in the school website. To search for a course, visit Course Schedule and click on the Course Schedule tab.

Do I need to sign up for a specific time to reserve a spot in the lab?

No, it is on a first come-first served basis.

Can I bring my children with me when I come into the lab?

No, as per school policy, children are not allowed in the lab.

Do you have headsets available?

No, but they can be checked out at the media center.

I haven't been a student for 20 years. Am I too old to learn?

No. The students at Anoka Tech range in age from 18-75. The key ingredients to be successful in school are self-motivation, the ability to understand concepts from the text and handouts, and the desire to learn. We want this to be a fun learning experience.

What software is on the computers in the lab?

There are approximately 75 computers. All computers have MS Office 2007. Check with a lab assistant or your instructor for specific programs for your particular course.
