Admissions Checklist
Getting Started...
1.  Choose a Program
  • Browse our detailed list of academic programs. You have the options of working toward a certificate, diploma or A.A.S. degree.
  • Complete any required prerequisites.
2.  Submit a Completed Application Form
  • Complete an online application 
  • If you prefer, you can complete a downloadable application form or you can call the Admissions Office at (763) 576-4850 for a paper application.
  • You must pay a $20 non-refundable application fee
  • Make sure you indicate your program of study on your application. 
  • All new students applying to the Practical Nursing Program must submit their prerequisites to the Admissions Office and apply in person. 
3. Complete the Immunization Form
  • All students must complete and submit an Immunization Form, required by the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • You can download the Immunization Form and mail it to the Admissions Office at 1355 West Highway 10, Anoka, MN  55303.  The immunization form needs to be completed before you can register for classes.
 4.  Take the Course Placement Test
  • All students declaring a major MUST complete the ACCUPLACER test. Your scores will help determine which courses are most appropriate for your current level of knowledge and skills.
  • Please review ACCUPLACER Computerized Placement Test information for additional details and to schedule an appointment.
  • If you have taken a Computerized Course Placement Test at another college within the past two years, submit the scores to the Admissions Office for review and consideration.

 5.  Apply for Financial Aid
  • All students are encouraged to fill out the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov

6.  Attend Student Orientation/Registration
  • All students must attend a formal first-year orientation, at which time you'll meet your advisor, have the chance to visit classrooms, and register for your first semeter classes with the help of ATC Staff.
 7.  Order Books, Pay Tuition and Other Costs
  • Purchase your books through the online bookstore.
  • Make payment arrangements by the tuition due date.
