The public is invited to the kick-off of the new Logistics certificate program at Anoka Technical College Tuesday, July 29, 2014, 3 to 5 p.m., in the Student Center (cafeteria).
Come to meet experts from logistics companies and to learn more about this growing field. Tours of the college’s manufacturing hub related to logistics, such as Machine Trades and Welding, will be available. Refreshments will be served.
“This is such as exciting new program,” said Sherry Butcher Wickstrom, Anoka Tech Dean of Academic Affairs. “We worked extensively with business partners to create a certificate that will prepare student to be job-ready. Veterans are especially encouraged to attend this kick-off. The program was structured to build on skills from their service and provide them the credentialing often necessary in their civilian job search.”
