Hometown: I am an Anoka County native, having grown up and graduated from high school in Coon Rapids. I currently reside in Andover with my husband and children. Therefore, I know the best kept secrets of Anoka County– ATC being one of them!
Educational Background: I graduated from University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor of applied science degree in Psychology. I am currently pursuing a master of arts degree in Counseling Psychology at Bethel University.
Best Adventure: My most memorable adventure was a family trip to Disney World for my grandfather’s birthday. Riding in the first seat of one of the fastest roller coasters with my grandpa on his 70th birthday was a moment I will never forget! This trip was a great reminder in balancing work and fun. Successful students must devote time to recreation in addition to studying.
Favorite aspect of Anoka Technical College: I love the welcoming environment at Anoka Technical College. Small class sizes, friendly staff and instructors who are devoted to student success are invaluable. No student is lost in the crowd at Anoka Tech!
Advice I would give to students who are applying to Anoka Technical College: I encourage all students to get involved on campus! Joining student clubs and attending campus events will increase your engagement at Anoka Tech by meeting new people and having fun! Remember that all clubs and activities are free to students. Hometown: I grew up in the country just outside of New Market and graduated high school from New Prague, Minnesota.
Educational Background: University of Wisconsin – La Crosse is where I received my bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. Although I’m a true Minnesota girl, Wisconsin will always be my second home.

Educational Background: I graduated with my Associates of Arts degree from Mesabi Range College and then transferred to the University of Minnesota Duluth and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.
Best Adventure: I am not very exciting. I have only been to 2 states other than Minnesota, but it has always been a dream of mine to go road tripping across the U.S.
Favorite aspect of Anoka Technical College: I love the fact that all of the faculty and staff are dedicated to student success, not just in the classroom but in life.
Advice I would give to students who are applying to Anoka Technical College: I encourage all students to keep focused on your end goal. It is so easy to get distracted with other things and lose sight of what you started out to do. By always focusing on that end point you will be more determined to see it through.
