NetLibrary e-books
How to access NetLibrary e-books

The majority of the library's electronic (online) books are available through the company NetLibrary. No special reader is necessary for these e-books, simply an internet connection and current browser, Adobe Acrobat, and a NetLibrary account if connecting from off-campus.

Access the service
Anoka Technical College Library Media Center e-books may be accessed in two ways:

1. Via MnPALS, the college's library catalog.

Searching the library catalog by author, title, subject or keyword usually retrieves various matching titles, which usually include records for e-books in the results. (Labels <Electronic Book> and <Print Book> appear next to titles.) You may limit your search to only e-books by using the Select a Library Catalog drop-down menu and choosing Electronic Resources.

To view an e-book from the library catalog, click on the title name, and then click on the url in the Electronic Resource field.  If you are using a computer on-campus, you may search within the entire book.  If you are off-campus, log-on to NetLibrary. If you do not have a NetLibrary account, call or visit the library.

2. Via NetLibrary.

The library catalog provides a limited search of our e-book collection. The NetLibrary site allows a full-text search through the thousands of e-books that we own. While on campus, you may search within our entire NetLibrary e-book collection through the NetLibrary web site. Note: To access e-books off-campus, it is first necessary to set up an account while using a computer on campus. On the NetLibrary "Welcome" page, click on "Create a Free Account" in the top right hand corner.  Complete the form on this page with using a unique username (not a typical first name). Click "Create Account" and watch for confirmation on screen. NetLibrary will not send you any emails.  Call the library if you are not able to come to campus to set up a free account.
