Research instruction
The Library Media Center is committed to fostering information literacy on campus.  The college librarian teaches students library and information retrieval skills as they relate to research goals via one-on-one instruction, orientation, and specialized instruction scheduled by faculty in conjunction with course assignments. The college librarian also assists faculty in designing information literacy assignments.

Information services
The Library Media Center staff are available to help you find answers to information questions, review how to use library electronic resources, and direct you to specific reference materials that will help you complete your assignments.

The library staff may also refer you to other information sources in the Twin Cities and Greater MN community. Besides our MnPALS catalog, the catalogs of various Minnesota libraries may be accessed via the MnLINK gateway.

The Library Media Center participates in MINITEX, Minnesota’s interlibrary loan service. Periodical articles and books not held in our library may be requested through interlibrary loan, as long as the requests are in accord with copyright guidelines. Interlibrary loans take about 7-14 days to receive.  Verify that the library has your current e-mail address to take advantage of this service.  Detailed information about interlibrary loan.
