Management Mastery Hands-on Leadership Skills
Management Mastery is a powerful program designed to develop new managers, or for current managers who want to enhance their team’s performance.
Management Mastery strategically maximizes learning by working with business topics that are relevant to today’s workplace. We have designed stackable management training modules that cover six sessions. Management Masters features accelerated learning techniques that will maximize the learner’s experience throughout the course and encourages the participants test drive these new found skills with their teams.
Here is a sample of the learning schedule:
Session 1 – Leader vs. Manager:
Managers will discover the four generations found in today’s workforce, develop their abilities to work among and between the generational cohorts and apply their new knowledge for effective results.
Session 2 – Cross Generation Management:
Managers will discover new “strengths” tools to put together effective teams. This training will shift the focus from employee’s weaknesses to discovering their strengths.
Session 3 – Coaching/Mentoring:
Accountability is a powerful practice in management. During this session participants will learn how to coach and mentor their team through the scope of accountability.
Session 4 – Task Management:
Who came first, the leader or the manager? This training will focus on recognizing the distinctions between leading and managing. The training will demonstrate how to use each leader and manager skill set and when to do so in the workplace.
Session 5 – Engaged Employees:
An effective manager is reflected in the attitude of the employees on the team. Engaged workers work harder, stay longer, and provide the best customer/client service. During this session, learn how to connect with your direct reports and inspire them to be great!
Session 6 – Team Building 101:
The final session will bring all the concepts of learning together, answer any additional questions and prepare the managers to start thinking about what is next for their futures.
Management Mastery is offered two ways; on the campus of Anoka Technical College (e-mail Sarah Patnode to request the upcoming schedule) or at your site (must have 8 participants for onsite training).
