It is designed to expose the participants to emergency action principles, initial assessment of the adult, traumatic injury and sudden illness, recognition and management of bleeding, poisoning, burns, broken bones, heart problems, stroke, diabetic conditions, seizures, and other emergencies. Basic Wilderness First Aid

Designed to help prepare for emergencies that may occur in the wilderness. Participants will learn to recognize and handle simple first aid to serious medical and traumatic emergencies and steps to reach professional medical help. Designed to prepare for outings with family & friends, when camping, fishing, hiking, or on the job working in parks, forests or any location where emergency response is remote.

Pediatric First Aid

This comprehensive course is for persons already current in CPR and is recommended for childcare providers. It is designed to expose the participants to emergency action principles, initial assessment of children, emergencies, traumatic injury and sudden illness, recognition and management of bleeding, poisoning, burns, broken bones, diabetic conditions, seizures, other medical emergencies, prevention and safety issues involving children. Demonstration and skill practice is included. Materials provided.

Pet First Aid

Give your pets the comfort and care they deserve. Take caring for your dog or cat to a whole new level with Pet First Aid. This American Red Cross course will teach you how to deal with life-threatening situations like choking, breathing emergencies and exposure to extreme weather. You’ll also learn how to perform rescue breathing and CPR, control bleeding and properly bandage wounds and other Pet First Aid skills. The class is designed to provide information you need to keep your pet safe and act with confidence during an emergency until you can take your pet to a Veterinarian.

Sports Safety Training 

Provides individuals with the basic first aid skills and knowledge needed to care for athletic injuries. Recognition of specific injuries will also include demonstrations of various taping/wrapping techniques, used to prevent injury and provide support for a variety of injuries common in sports. Taping skills will be practiced by participants. Materials are included.

Sports Medicine Taping Techniques

This eight-hour course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of taping and wrapping techniques, used to prevent and provide support for a variety of sports related injuries. Lab time will allow students a chance to practice a variety of taping skills. Student trainers, coaches, parents of athletes, First Responders and Emergency Medical Technicians with sport coverage responsibilities will benefit from this comprehensive course. Techniques covered include, but are not limited to, basic ankle, arch, thumb, elbow, & achilles tendon procedures. Emergency Sports First Aid

The Sport Emergency First Aid provides individuals with the basic first aid skills and knowledge needed to care for athletic injuries. Course will cover common injuries sustained in the athletic arena. Discussions covering mechanisms of injury and recognition of specific injuries will also be included. Demonstrations of various taping/wrapping techniques, used to prevent and provide support for a variety of injuries common in athletics. Taping skills will be practiced by participants. Materials and supplies are included in course fee.

Prerequisites: Must have a current CPR card for the Healthcare Provider/Healthcare Professional.
