ADSC - HIT Professional Practice Experience I - 00003259

Description: This is the first of two HIT professional practice experiences. It is designed to provide the student with practical general training and experiences in the application of health information technology. Students will participate in application activities which reinforce concepts introduced in the classroom and at site visits. This course also includes a career research project presentation. This course will be delivered both on campus, and off campus via site visits to a variety of healthcare organizations located throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. (Students will be expected to provide their own transportation to off campus site visits as scheduled.) (Prerequisites: Successful completion of first two semesters of HIT program and instructor permission)
